Really?  Are you crazy?</title><description><![CDATA[<p>I recently had a conversation with an agent who must have thought that I was totally insane.&nbsp; The conversation started as a rant and rave about how terrible short sales are and thay anyone who works on a short sale must be insane.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Up until about a year ago, Panama City real estate agents had the mindset of "I won't touch a short sale!"&nbsp; The short sale process is cumbersome and can be very difficult for those that are not tenacious and those that are not up to a challenge.&nbsp; As a matter of fact if I had a dollar for everytime an agent told me that they won't list a short sale or won't show a short sale, well, I could retire and not have to be the Panama City short sale go to guy.&nbsp; Notice I said go to guy and not short sale expert!&nbsp; Expert is just that and in the short sale world, there are few true experts, no matter what designation someone may place next to their name.</p>
<p>I truely do love short sales. Why?, you ask.&nbsp; Short sales are here and not going anywhere which means there are families out there in financial distress and they need help.&nbsp; These families lives are being seriously tasked most likely due to a hardship such as illness, job loss, divorce, job transfer, the list can go on and on.&nbsp; I take great pleasure in being able to help Panama City families sell their homes as a short sale in order to help them get back on with their lives.&nbsp; Financial burden could be one of the worst feelings in the world short of death and illness.&nbsp; Many people have nowhere else to turn except for short sales.&nbsp; I LOVE HELPING FAMILIES who need my help!</p>
<p>Please don't misunderstand, I wish the real estate market was booming and everyone had equity in their homes but the reality of the situation is that short sales in Panama City are here to stay for a while and I am here to help!</p>

Panama City Beach is business as usual</title><description><![CDATA[<p>This week marks the one year anniversary for the Deepwater Horizon oil spill fiasco.&nbsp; The oil spill brought panic and fear across the Gulf Coast, no one knew what was going to happen.&nbsp; Well, a year later in Panama City Beach, business is back to normal and back to the usual.&nbsp; Cars are bumper to bumper on Front Beach Road, the beach is packed and the restaurants have lines to get in.&nbsp; The waters of Panama City Beach are crystal clear and the beach is as white as ever.</p>
<p>The media did Panama City Beach a huge disservice with their oil spill reports, Panama City Beach saw very little effects from the oil, but saw large effects from the media and their sky is falling reporting.&nbsp; Maybe the media should be paying claims and not BP.</p>
<p>The moral to the story is that Panama City Beach is and has been the Worlds Most Beautiful Beaches and the oil spill did not affect our beaches.&nbsp; Come to Panama City Beach, enjoy the&nbsp;sand, the water and the delicious seafood and leave the oil spill talk to the media, afterall bad news sells and good news is rarely reported.</p>

<p><strong>PANAMA CITY, FL &ndash;</strong> In a historic vote,&nbsp;Gulf Coast Community College&nbsp;District Board of Trustees unanimously approved a new name for the Panama City institution: <strong>Gulf Coast State College</strong>. The vote is the culmination of months of research and evaluation of input from College stakeholders that included students, employees, alumni and members of the community.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;Over 1,700 people responded to the online community survey and 74% thought that <a title="Panama City" href="http://www.gulfcoast.edu/default.htm">Gulf Coast Community College</a>&nbsp;should move ahead with a name change. The trustees discussed the issue after hearing a presentation that included a list of names for consideration as well as the reasons for and against each choice. Gulf Coast State College rose to the top as the trustees all agreed that it kept the history and tradition while acknowledging the addition (and future growth) of 4-year degree programs.</p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Come on out this week to Panama City Beach to show your respect for those that fight for us!&nbsp; The Wounded Warrior Retreat is this week in Panama City Beach.&nbsp; </span></p>
<p>Panama City Beach-- Local folks have the opportunity this week to honor those who've been wounded in service to our country. The wounded warriors beach retreat was founded several years ago by a woman whose son lost his legs after a roadside bomb exploded in Iraq.</p>
<p>Linda Cope has seen the struggles her son has faced and has made it her mission to give those in similar situations a chance to let go of their problems, even if only for a little while.</p>

<p>Twice a year, the organization hosts wounded warriors and their caretakers for a weekend of relaxation and fun in Panama City Beach. The latest group will begin to arrive Wednesday.</p>
<p>"It's such a struggle for the caregiver as well as the soldier so what we do is focus on the caregiver and the soldier and make it a very memorable time for all of them," said Linda Cope.</p>
<p>The public is invited to take part in the retreat Thursday night. A motorcade will escort the wounded warriors from the Bay Point Marriott to First Baptist Church on Harrison Avenue for an opening ceremony.<br />Cope asks the public to line the streets from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. along the route.
